Hospitality Runs in the Family

It’s good when everyone in a family can contribute their individual talents and still pull together. Even better, when our guests are able to benefit from our warm and attentive customer service.

In every breakfast or tasting menu that we prepare for you, in every wine that we recommend and in every wish that we fulfill, we also share a bit of our pride in family tradition and a very special sense of togetherness with you. Everyone plays their part.

Richard Scherle Sr.

Although I passed the management of the business on to my sons in 2001, I continue to manage renovations and the care of the grounds personally.

Renate Scherle

While I may not be as involved as I was before going into a (very active) retirement, my passion for the running of our hotel has never left me. I continue to support my children, to help and offer advice, in their management of the business.

Jörg Scherle

As part owner and managing director, I see to your culinary satisfaction. As the Executive Chef of our fine dining restaurant, I showcase my passion for the fusion of Swabian and Mediterranean cuisine. When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m dedicated to my other passion: my business in prized Koi Carp. I travel to visit breeders in Japan twice a year to personally select the finest Koi for customers all over Germany.

Andreas Scherle

As part owner and managing director, I work with my brother to help manage the Hotel Zur Weinsteige in Stuttgart, lead the front-of-house service in our fine dining restaurant as well as oversee our marketing. However, my true passion is for wine - both on our critically acclaimed wine list and in my other local restaurant, Weinhaus Stetter.

Birgit Scherle

I’ve managed reception, breakfast service and housekeeping for many years. I am the point of contact for all of our hotel guests and dedicate myself to ensuring that your stay with us is a pleasant and unforgettable experience.

Sylvia Pfeifer

While my brothers focus on the guest experience, I work in the administration of the Hotel Zur Weinsteige Stuttgart to ensure that the business runs smoothly.
